What do you love most about what you do?
I love the fact that we get to change lives every single day.
Was there a person or experience that inspired your career?
I was encouraged to go into residential real estate by my family over 20 years ago when I left the active duty Navy and moved to Fredericksburg. I'm inspired every day by so many people: my mentors and coaches, my clients, my team, my staff, my colleagues, and my community. I truly believe I have found my calling in life and every day is a blessing.
What does your business do better than anyone else?
We know the market like no one else. Having studied the market for over 20 years, we really know what's going on and where our market is headed: this is how we can help our clients succeed in any market. We also offer programs for buyers and sellers that no one else offers: our Buy and Refi program, our Move-up or Downsize program, our Renovation program called Pineapple Projects, our Relocation programs, and so much more.
What do you wish you could change?
I wish I could find the perfect place for all of my clients-this is impossible. I wish every transaction was smooth and had no issues-there is always some sort of challenge to overcome. I wish all real estate agents had a sound financial plan for themselves so they aren't caught in a position where they must have a closing occur or else they can't pay their bills. I wish our industry wasn't constantly under attack from all directions.
Tell us about you!
I am a mother of 2 teens and a wife to my fabulous husband. I moved to Fredericksburg in 2003 and started volunteering in the community right away. I currently serve on several non-profit boards and I try to give back as much as I can to our community. I have a strong desire to help other women succeed in life and business. My current hobby is Taekwondo: I plan to get my black belt in December (I began TKD on August 22). I love spending time with my family and going to and doing some really fun things on my bucket list: I'll go to the summit of Pike's Peak in May, I'll go to Sedona in Arizona in September, I'll watch a Space X Rocket launch, in person, in March. I love experiences and have no problem doing them on my own!! My goal is to be 115 years old and tell all the young people that I'm a Black Belt in TKD and about all the adventures I had in my life!
